Mr. Colley Bell III

With 35 years of teaching experience in independent schools from New England to Chicago, Colley Bell brings a deep passion for history to the classroom. He studied the American Civil War under Dr. Charles Roland at the University of Kentucky, where his hands-on fieldwork fostered a tactile and immersive teaching approach. Bell credits his students' enthusiasm for their success and works hard to facilitate discussions of ideas, encouraging critical thinking and engagement. His appreciation of an engaging socratic education has inspired countless students, some of whom have gone on to become American History professors at prestigious institutions such as King's College London, Stanford, Amherst, and Brandeis.
