The Arts

Our Arts programs nurture and develop highly creative artistic personalities who are educated and skilled in the visual and performing arts. You may pursue music, voice, drama, dance, drawing, painting, photography, mixed media, ceramics, and more artistic forms of expression at St. Margaret's through our curriculum and student clubs. In-class instruction and mentoring, individual instruction, and after-school activities offer many ways for students to creatively express themselves, try new things, and discover their interests. In addition, our student artists enrich the surrounding community by participating in art-themed service projects, performances, and local contests.

The Treble Choir

Our Treble Choir performs at a wide range of school events, including chapel services on campus and community events in the surrounding area. They are encouraged to work together, develop harmonies and solo parts, and make a joyful noise. Check them out with our other musical performances on our one of our YouTube channels.

Synopsis: We follow Karen Carpenter's career through twelve of her greatest hits, from early innocence through driven exertion to weary exhaustion.  Vocal lead Via Metsala takes us from one classic to another, from the magical We've Only Just Begun to the plaintive Hurting Each Other.  Metsala's backup singers add layers of harmonic richness that made the Carpenters famous -- and changed the course of American pop music.  Your emotions will plunge and soar as you remember the Carpenters' timeless repertoire and learn about the challenges they endured in pursuit of perfection.
