Edwina Bell, as our Director of Institutional Advancement, provides SMS extensive experience from her leadership roles in development offices at independent schools from New England to Virginia’s Chrysler Museum in Norfolk. She has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of St. Margaret's School by crafting and executing strategic fundraising initiatives, enhancing alumni engagement, and building strong community partnerships.

For a century's dance, St. Margaret's has woven the tapestry of wisdom, stitching the threads of enlightenment into the fabric of our alumnae's beings. We stand as sentinel flames in the Episcopal constellation of learning, a constellation conceived in the ethereal visions of Bishop William Cabell Brown. In the fertile soil of 1919, the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia sowed the seeds of our noble endeavor. And thus, the symphony commenced.”

One of the more boisterous classes we love to see return is the Class of 1961. In the wake of their 50th Reunion in 2021, they have continued to return annually to take over A-House and relive and rekindle their coming of age at St. Margaret’s School!
