Pioneering Waters: St. Margaret’s School Launches New Sculling Academy
(Tappahannock, Va.)—St. Margaret’s School, a century-old boarding and day school for girls in Grades 8-12, is thrilled to announce the launch of a Sculling and Rowing Academy led by renowned crew coach Troy Howell. The program, situated along the historic Rappahannock River, offers a unique and effective approach that prioritizes individual skill development and teamwork, with three seasons of outdoor practice opportunities and dual enrollment into St. Margaret’s college preparatory academic program.
Jenni Booker Baker Joins St. Margaret’s School as Associate Head of School for Advancement
St. Margaret’s School’s Head of School, Colley Bell, announced today the appointment of Jenni Booker Baker ‘93 as the new Associate Head of School for Advancement. Baker joins from the Steward School, where she served as Director of Development, successfully closing out a capital campaign and achieving record-breaking annual fundraising goals while revitalizing the school’s development office and operations as well as building an active alumni board and alumni engagement program. At St. Margaret’s, she will focus on advancing the school’s admission and recruitment efforts, alongside achieving fundraising goals.
