Mr. Blake Brunner
Blake Brunner is the Dean of College Counseling and the Chair of the English Department at St. Margaret's School. He holds a bachelor's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in international relations from Boston University. A graduate of a boarding school himself, Blake has taught at high schools and universities in Korea, Vietnam, Syria, and the United States, bringing a wealth of international experience to his role. His global perspective is further enriched by study-abroad experience in Jordan, where he studied Arabic. Blake also speaks Korean.
Blake lives in McCuan House with his wife and their two sons. He enjoys kayaking on the Rappahannock River and its tributaries, taking advantage of the natural beauty surrounding the school. His family shares a love for exploring local museums and hiking trails, often spending their weekends on these enriching activities. Blake also enjoys taking students on trips to visit the many excellent universities within driving distance of St. Margaret's.
