St. Margaret's School is an Episcopal boarding and day school for girls in grades 8-PG. The historic 101-year-old school's campus is located on the banks of the Rappahannock River. The mission of St. Margaret's is to provide a safe, caring environment and to educate girls for life with a compelling college preparatory curriculum. Each student gains enormous confidence in what is called “the gospel of doing,” exercising mind, body, and spirit. It is the only girls' school campus with over 1000 ft. of waterfront, which affords a distinctive experience. The school's natural inclusivity in its Episcopal heritage promotes a powerful educational atmosphere for all girls.

There’s something special about the sisterhood formed while attending St. Margaret’s School. Sisterhood is a unique experience, and no synonym fits the bill. In recognition of the strength of the bonds that grew from our shared knowledge, St. Margaret’s is pleased to establish the International Student Endowment.

The world should be where everyone can live, learn, and lead without fear of repression, aggression, or suppression. Help give more girls from Afghanistan, Ukraine, and other countries that oppress girls the chance to thrive at St. Margaret’s School.

Growing St. Margaret's endowed funds is vital to St. Margaret's continued financial stability and future viability. It provides funding for need-based financial aid, faculty salaries and enrichment opportunities, and the feasibility of multiple school programs. For many donors, it also is a meaningful way to leave a lasting legacy through the Sara Morriss Society.

With a relatively small endowment of $5 million, St. Margaret's must build on these funds in order to keep up with the growing costs associated with special academic, extracurricular and professional development programs. Increasing endowment income will not only help operate and maintain facilities, it will also ensure that faculty compensation and benefits as well as academic and school life programs remain competitive.
