Ms. Katherine Ginsburg
Ms. Kate Ginsburg is a dedicated educator with over ten years of experience in individual and small-group tutoring and classroom teaching. She teaches English 8 and 9th grade Intro to Literature and Composition, AP Psychology, and a workshop for ESOL students. In all of her classes, she aspires to give her students transferable, foundational communication and critical thinking skills that will ultimately benefit them in their future endeavors.
Ms. Ginsburg earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with Honors from Dartmouth College, where she also minored in Classical Studies. She earned a Master of Arts in English from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Teaching secondary ELA from Drew University. Her love of literature and commitment to her students’ success is evident in her classroom, where she strives to treat all her students as unique individuals by meeting them where they are--academically, culturally, and socially. She hopes that in her classroom, all students feel they matter to her, the school community, and the larger world.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Ginsburg is a dorm parent in McCuan House, where she lives with her cat, Stella. She’s a recent transplant to the Northern Neck from western New Jersey, so she’s enjoying exploring the historic towns and natural beauty this area offers. She is excited to begin the St. Margaret’s chapter of her life and help her students write their own stories.
