Mrs. Valorie Mundie
Mrs. Mundie is passionate about differentiated education. She has experience in special education, behavioral management, and curriculum development. She is excited to use her skills as the Dean of the Wheat Center to oversee a high level of student engagement and college preparatory curriculum. She will also be teaching study skills which is a class she holds dear because of her experiences at St. Margarets as a student. In pursuit of helping every student succeed in both school and life, Mrs. Mundie will also be teaching the study skills class that she learned as a student at St. Margarets and that set her up her lifelong learning. Mrs. Mundie earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with honors from the University of Virginia(UVA). Her love for education encouraged her to continue her education at UVA and attain a Masters in Teaching with a focus on Curriculum and Behavioral Science. Her love for teaching students how to learn builds confidence for students to prepare for their next level of education. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Mundie is involved with the class sponsor program which builds teamwork and community awareness. She also supports advisors with ideas for building the sisterhood. Outside of the St. Margarets Community, Mrs. Mundie enjoys working in a local gift and floral shop. She is active in Bible study groups and enjoys spending time with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Mundie travel with their daughter and two dogs often in their camper. She believes the experience teaches her more about the world around her and inspires her pedagogy. She faithfully shares her love for the sisterhood which ignites her joy to teach students to do more than get an education but to independently learn.
