REUNION 2024
The reunion weekend at St. Margaret's School brought together alumnae spanning from the class of 1961 to 2023 back to the picturesque riverfront campus they once called home. The festivities kicked off in the historic Brockenbrough-McCall House with a delightful cocktail and dinner party, setting a joyous tone for the weekend. Later, the alumnae joined current students for the enchanting lantern ceremony, a highlight of the evening.
Saturday morning began with insights and updates from the Prefects and the Head of School, who shared the school's achievements and developments from the past year. This was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session with the alumnae. The camaraderie continued at the Alumnae Association Luncheon, which celebrated the contributions of the alumnae to St. Margaret's legacy.
The evening featured a splendid dinner in the dining hall, offering stunning views of the river and filled with song and vibrant conversations. Alumnae had the chance to sneak a peek at the May Ball and later gathered in A-House for late-night talks, reliving memories and creating new ones.
The reunion concluded on Sunday with the Charms Chapel, where alumnae presented current students with their charms under sunny skies, symbolizing the passing of traditions. The weekend wrapped up with a lovely Sunday Brunch. This spectacular weekend was a testament to the dedication and spirit of St. Margaret's alumnae, who returned to their alma mater to reconnect and celebrate their shared heritage.
Let us pray
Almighty and everlasting God,
We give you thanks to the alumnae of St. Margaret's School for their time spent learning and living by the noble Rappahannock River, a symbol of your enduring flow of grace. Bless these women who have walked these halls and now extend their hands to support this community. Enrich their lives with your wisdom and peace so they might continue to reflect your love in all they do.
In your mercy, remember those classmates who have departed this life. We entrust them to your eternal love, confident in the promise of resurrection and life everlasting. May they rest in peace and rise in glory, abiding forever in the grace of God.
As we gather around these tables, bless us and the food we are about to receive. Let us remember the words taught to us: “As we grow in age, may we grow in grace.”
Strengthen us in body and soul, and unite us in fellowship, that we may always have cause to give thanks to You.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
