Planned Giving

Our students radiate enthusiasm and kindness, brimming with happiness and resolve. They feel a deep sense of belonging, have faith in their potential, and are on a quest to achieve their utmost. This journey isn't exclusive to them; whether you've joined the St. Margaret's community as a student, parent, grandparent, faculty member, or valued friend, you've navigated these same stages in your relationship with the institution. By contemplating or committing to a planned gift, you've chosen to deepen your ties with the St. Margaret's family, to uphold your belief in the institution's future, and to play an integral role in shaping that future.

The Sara Morriss Society

Sara Morriss '37 P70 had a vision for St. Margaret’s School when she became one of the first alumnae to remember SMS in her will. She knew her gift would help St. Margaret’s build a foundation into the future and the scholarship her bequest helped establish is a testament to her belief. St. Margaret’s honors her dedication to our school and the dedication of all who choose to give to St. Margaret’s in such a meaningful way.

By joining the Sara Morriss Society for Planned Giving, you are leaving a legacy that will ensure St. Margaret's can continue to help young women reach their potential. This is truly the most graceful legacy of all, one which fulfills the St. Margaret’s motto: “As we grow in age, may we grow in grace.”

Contact Edwina Bell at 804-443-3357 x3014 or by email at ebell@sms.org with questions about planned giving or if we can be of any assistance to you, your family, your attorney, or your financial planner. If you have already made a planned gift to St. Margaret's and would like to share your generous intent with us, please do so by submitting a commitment form.

Thank you for supporting St. Margaret's and for believing great things are possible here.
