DRAMA INTERN

ADMISSIONS INTERN

The Admissions Intern at St. Margaret’s School supports the admissions team with various administrative, communication, and outreach tasks. This position is designed for individuals interested in learning about the admissions process within a girls' boarding school environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience in student recruitment, admissions processing, event planning, and public relations.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Assist the admissions team with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the admissions department.

  • Application Processing: Help with receiving, sorting, and processing student applications. Ensure that all required documents are complete and organized.

  • Communications: Draft and send emails, letters, and correspondence to prospective students, parents, and educational consultants. Assist with phone calls and inquiries.

  • Campus Tours: Support campus tours by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and occasionally leading tours for prospective families.

  • Event Coordination: Help plan and execute admissions events, such as open houses, information sessions, and orientation days.

  • Travel: Represent St. Margaret’s School at various Admissions Fairs

  • Social Media and Marketing: Contribute to the school's social media accounts by creating engaging content and supporting marketing campaigns related to admissions.

  • Research and Outreach: Research prospective feeder schools, community events, and other opportunities for student recruitment. Assist in developing outreach strategies to increase awareness of the school's programs.

  • Relationship Building: Help maintain relationships with current students and alumni participating in admissions activities. Coordinate student ambassador programs or alumni involvement in recruitment events.

  • Data Analysis: Support data analysis to track key metrics related to admissions and recruitment and provide insights to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduated from a college or university. A background in admissions, communications, marketing, or related fields is preferred.

  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.

  • Personal Traits: A positive attitude, enthusiasm for working in a school environment, and a commitment to supporting young women's education. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

  • Experience: Previous experience in an educational setting, customer service, or event planning is optional.

Additional Information

This internship may require evening and weekend work to support admissions events and dorm duties. The position is full-time and typically aligned with the school's admissions season. Compensation and benefits, including housing and salary, will be discussed during the interview process.
