St. Margaret's Recieves Pontoon Boat for Marine Science Program

Aqua Patio: This new boat will take marine science students on the Rappahannock for hands-on learning.

St. Margret's School Director of Devolopement Mark Eastham has announced a "pure gift" contribution of a Aqua Patio pontoon boat donated by Bobby McGeorge of Richmond.

The boat, a 1993 model 240R Aqua Patio, came with a trailer and is powered by a 70 horsepower Evinrude motor. The value of the boat, trailer, and motor is estimated at $10,000.

"In my work with alumnae of this school, I am regularly told what an important part the Rappahannock River played in their time at St. Margaret's. Mr. McGeorge's generous gift will allow us to make the river more accessible to our current students and faculty for educational and extracurricular purposes," said Eastham. "This is a wonderful gift to St. Margaret's School."
